title: Does LaShon Kodesh Have Sub-roots,Like That
Other Divine Science Called Chemistry?

for the "LICK" entry of the e-word CD dictionary:

BRANCHES: Cognates of LICK include ELECTUARY and
LECHER. Although Latin lingere ("to lick")
is mentioned here, Latin's lingua (tongue) words such
as LANGUAGE, LINGUIST, etc. are listed instead at the
tongue-twisted IE root dnghu.
This proposed IE root may link up with Tet-Ayin-Mem,
DTaGHaM (to taste).
Tongue and LANGUAGE are synonyms. To lick is “to
tongue,” as many nouns are tied to verbs, and
sophisticated
nouns (as easily seen in Semitic) are derived from
parts of the body. LINGUAL words are clearly a
nasalized
(extra N) form of the Semitic liquid-guttural terms
above.
See "LIQUID" and "SLANG" (where Hebrew, too, has the
same word for tongue and language).

Perhaps the best entry to follow a subroot is the
Bet-Lamed of “BALL.”

BALL BahLahL Bet-Lamed-Lamed
BALL-UL________________________[BLL]
ROOTS: The IE root of BALL is bhel (to blow, swell).
BaLOOM (swollen) and BaLaDT (to protrude – see
“BLOAT”) address a BL root of filling or expanding.
Other Hebrew words match the rolling, mixed up sense
of being all BALLED UP in a BALL of confusion. BaLaL
is to confound (as human vocabulary was in Genesis
11:9 with the BABBLE of Babel), BaLOOL is to mingle
together (Leviticus 2:5) and BiLBOOL means confusion.

Bilabial-liquid related words include [E]eRBaiL (to
mix, confuse) and Ayin-Resh-Bet terms of mixing,
confusing and swarming. Rolling and mixing occurs on
both the BALLFIELD and BALLROOM, as seen below. A BL
antonym which prevents overlapping is GiBHOOL (border
– Genesis 10:19).
Edenic words containing the subroot Bet/Bhet-Lamed
imply a mixing of elements: GiBHooL is a border
between two countries; [K]HeBHeL, a string, is threads
twisted together -- (GeBHeL, braid and KeBHeL, strong
rope are taken up at “CABLE”) ; DTeBHeL is to immerse
one thing in another – see “DIP;” MaBHooL (the flood
of Genesis) was a cataclysmic geological mixture of
biblical proportions; the NaBHaL is an impious fool
who mixes the sacred and profane (Isaiah 32:5 – see
“VILE;” SH’BHeeYL is a path that links different
areas (Psalms 77:20).

There is an argument, going back to medieval Hebrew
grammarians, if Hebrew roots are of 2 or 3 letters.
This and that are words of the living G-d. Three for
grammar, two for meaning.
